We got a little hyper shopping...probably because Kristi was only in town for one night so our time was limited! We sure had fun shopping KMart's Black Friday sales. And we didn't even have to go at midnight, there was no need... their sales were so good we slept in and went around 11am. And man did we score B-I-G!
We set a goal to spend $100 or less for outdoor lighting specifically. Now $100 may sound like a lot until you get 2 packs of clear lights for $44...
...which is actually a good deal but it's still nearly half our budget. Not to worry, we are thrifters at heart and were up for the challenge!
But we grabbed them because they're a great price for how large my front porch is PLUS they will be easy to store since we can just wrap it around the same packaging we bought it in. Nice.
After checking out lots of Jaclyn Smith decor, which was gorgeous but not in our budget, we found this smoking deal:
$9.99 for a bucket of teals, silvers and white glittery ornaments and snowflakes! So excited.
We also grabbed 2 large wreaths for my double front door, each were under $20 which was the rest of our budget. But just wait until you see how big of a transformation 6 items can change our whole porch. I'm excited to show it to you...
...next week. Boo I know, but I loaned some of it to my kid's school for their Christmas concert tonight. THEN I can finish it and show you how affordable outdoor Christmas decor really is (:
To see more of what we scoped out, check out our shopping trip.
We had a separate budget and got all our kid's Christmas gifts, nieces and nephew Secret Santa gifts AND birthday gifts for $186. Not a bad deal!!
For our $100 Outdoor Lighting Budget, we got:
- 2)Pre-Lit Wreath $14.99
- 2) 400 Count Light Set $22.49
- 1) 100 Count Ornament Set $9.99
- 2) Wreath Hangers $2.50
Total Spent: $90
Total Saved: $65
=Score!
