Diet Coke Can Jewelry with It Kits

Today Lifestyle Crafts is launching their darling new product line.  We got to play around with the Clip It Kits and created these fun pieces of costume jewelry:
Diet Coke Earrings.
Typography Bird Ring.
Tin Mustache Necklace.

Want to see them modeled by a preggo Kristi? :)
Okay!

Now want to see how we created these?
Here is our super easy tut!
[If you don't own a die-cutting machine, you can get 20% off using code 'LollyJane' or we can sell you finished pieces on the cheap, just shoot us an email] ;)

Supplies Needed:
Epic 6 Letterpress
Clip It Kit
Diet Coke can
[You know those are in full stock around here!]
Scissors
E600 Glue

Directions:
1. Gather supplies.
2. Stab hole into can with scissors then cut end off and discard.
  3. Using mustache, bird + heart die cuts, run them through Letterpress machine. Note: for the bird typography look, place die cut in the nutrition facts on the can.
4. Simply glue earrings to posts, bird to ring blank.
For the mustache... punch holes in either side using a thumbtack, loop jump rings through each hole, hang on silver chain. Tip: Pliers are a must for the 'stache!

Edited: The sides are NOT sharp; because it's pressed, the edges are actually slightly rounded (;

Here is a little more info to get your familiar with the process.  It Kits are a great place to start if you want to join the craze, it has all the essentials to get started.  Keep in mind, when you purchase you'll also recive a code allowing you to get the digi cutting files that'll work on ANY cutting machine.  This way you can benefit from both manual + digi die-cutting.

  3. Hey gals, good question! Since they are letterpressed, the little clip its actually have rounded edges that aren't sharp or pokey at all :)

    Thanks for reading!
