We ♥ wreaths!
They're the perfect way to bring the current holiday/season into your home.
Our challenge was to create a wreath using Elmer's Krazy glue. Sounds easy enough but keep in mind Krazy glue works best with metal, plastic, glass, ceramic, etc. This project encouraged us to go outside of our paper/fabric element so after purchasing paper supplies {and discovering those are not compatible with Krazy glue! lol} we came up with this:

We made this simple Halloween wreath using items you probably have on hand and/or can pick up inexpensively.
- Elmer's Krazy Glue [who doesn't have this laying around? it was a staple in our house growing up!]
- 12 small mason jar lids [$2.44 @ Walmart]
- Black spray paint [$.96 @ Walmart]
- X-Acto scissors+other products supplied by this awesome Elmer's party we attended in June
- Bakers twine. Cardstock. Image on bunting found here.
Directions:
1. Spray paint lids black
2. Once thoroughly dry, put a light coat of Krazy glue on lid lip
3. Immediately press onto another lid and repeat until circle is completed, [we weighed the lids down for a few hours to ensure they were extremely stuck together]
4. Print/cut out spooky image onto cardstock, trim edges.
5. String onto bakers twine, adhere with Elmers fabric & paper glue.
6. Add a dab of hot glue to the back of the wreath for bunting to hang.
This project has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Elmer's #gluenglitter #collectivebias. Creating this craft & all opinions in this post are our very own ;)
This is really cute and clever! My kids could help me make it yet it's classy looking enough for my holiday decor. Loving it.
ReplyDeleteI knew I loved you girls for a reason! I have all these old mason jar lids, which can only be used when canning. I couldn't bear to toss them, I knew a project would come along...and you have inspired me:)
