Fluff pom poms

Welcome back to the show.
Today's episode of LOLLYPALOOZA we're featuring how to Fluff Poms Poms!

Supplies. What you need:

Step 1: Layer (8) 20x30" sheets of tissue paper hortizontally.
Make 1" accordian folds vertically, creasing each fold.
Tip: I use a credit card to deepen the crease... the creasier (is that a word?!) the neater it looks :)

Step 2:  Fold a standard size twist tie (or 4" floral wire) in half and twist over center of folded tissue.
Note: Be sure to leave a tail for easy hanging later on :)

Step 3: Using scissors, trim ends of tissue into decorative round or pointed shape.

Step 4: Separate layers by pulling away from the center, one (flimsy) sheet at a time.
Warning: The sheets may tear so give it some TLC  :-0

Step 5:  Simply ribbon around loop and hang.

Optional TwiSt:
Use as a gift topper!  Cuh-ute, right?! :)

Ooooooooor you can use as a napkin ring!  Love the idea, Martha ;)
Size: 10x5" sheets of tissue paper with 3/8" accordian folds. Enjoy!

Stay tuned for tomorrow's episode of how to Sew a Banner!

  8. Interesting that you would do this for a package topper, I think it works really well and I did not think of it, but just the other day, I and a bunch of women got together and made these ver same balls to hang from painted twigs for a wedding! They are cool!

  12. Just what I've been looking for!

I keep seeing these gorgeous tissue paper flowers hanging in display windows around town. This is good incentive to finally and try and make some. :-)
