Monogram necklace

For my daughter's 7th birthday sleepover bash, she & her 7 girlfriends made these fun necklaces.

I originally saw the idea HERE.  {She had seen it on the Creative Crate who had seen it on Mod Podge Rocks.  So many cute sites-funny how different visions come to life in other people's minds!}

These were really easy & inexpensive to make and the little girls had so much fun making them their own.

Wanna DIY?  Here's how:

Supplies:
6 pk Wooden Circles: $0.99   *Joann's
Key Tags: $4.39/50 pk           *Staples.com
Ball Chain: $2.10                    *Hobby Lobby
Acrylic Paint, Scrap paper, ModPodge   *Had on hand
Initials                                     *Free from my vinyl cutter

Directions:
Paint wooden circles & let dry.
Lightly paint key tags.
Cut out circle from scrapbook paper, modpogde onto wooden circle.
Apply initial sticker to key tag.

Final Cost: $0.50/each

  1. I totally love this idea by the way. But anyway, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for doing all 75 "hope"'s for us!!! I was telling my friend who is in charge of the survivor gifts about you and how generous you are!! It is just SO nice of you to help us out with this!!
    My friend, Jessica (the one in charge of this) said that we will need the lettering anytime within the next couple weeks, so I guess anytime before April 1?? Does that work for you? And you can send them straight to her at:

  3. I have a question in regards to the vinyl that you cut...do you have a silhouette? or a cricut? I have the cricut expression but haven't ventured out in the vinyl world yet....
