Welcome Summer Banner #GrabSummerFun

Today is my kids' last day of school and I am SO excited!!  I'm throwing them a surprise "Welcome Summer" swim party when they get home this afternoon.  They'll officially welcome summer with a banner to break through, an official last day of school hurrah!  I'm going to knock off this cute idea:

then they can bust through it to start their vacation!!

Loving all these cute Welcome Summer ideas:

After the banner breakthrough, I'm going to have pizza and ice cream for them (classic summer treats right??) then we'll hit the pool!

I went shopping at Walmart yesterday to prepare for the surprise party (check out my trip with the littles).

We had fun picking out the flavors of Nestle Drumstick ice cream and Tombstone pizza toppings, and of course we couldn't leave without a giant watermelon too!

So excited to share my party with you next week!  It'll be something you can easily create with affordable yummies and inexpensive decor using goods around your house (:

Happy Summer!

  5. Wow, you are starting it out right! Lucky kids! I wish it was Summer for me. I mean, yes, it's Summer, but not Summer vacation. :( Thanks for stopping in at Quirky Vistas and for pinning by Rascal! Sweet!

  6. We did a Welcome to Summer banner one year ... so fun until the kids fought about who ran through it first. :) Can't wait to see your party!
