Popsicle Stick Flower Clips #ScribbleShop

We were recently selected to make something creative using random craft supplies from the Scribble Shop Crafters Challenge.  We really had to dig deep into the clever side of our brains; this challenge was tougher than it seemed!  We came up with Popsicle Stick Flower Clips as well as sprucing up an old jar.  Wait 'til you see what we started with ;)

We were so excited to dig into the box we received from Scribble Shop:

Included were ModPodgepopsicle sticks, stencilglass gemscolored pencils, paisley shapes, metallic stamp pad, dress it up embellishments and raffia.  We know, right?!  Lots of crafting goodness!

We created popsicle stick bulletin board flowers using the popsicle sticksModPodge and gold buttons.  Scribble Shop also provides scrapbook paper + foam brushes:

To assemble these shabby flowers, trace 6 popsicle sticks onto scrapbook paper, cut out and ModPodge onto sticks.  Hot glue into a flower shaper, overlapping each layer.  Hot glue a clothespin on the back, top with a homemade paper flower rosette and hot glue a gold button {or
buttons from your craft stash} into center for a pop of shine!  Viola!
A popsicle stick flower clip to spruce up your bulletin board:

To use more of the supplies, we dressed up this jar that we made forever ago... it was headed to Goodwill so we thought a revamp was in order:

We spray painted the lid, finial + base a pretty blue.  Then we spray painted the green gems to oil rubbed bronze gems and hot glued them around the base of the jar and lid of the jar.  We love the pretty etched pattern from our stencil across the front of the jar to dress it up some more:

Note: We recycled our jar but you can find similar wood circles, jars, and pegs (in place of finials) so you can get it all in one stop.  To see more of this fun shop and what it's all about, visit their FB page, tweet with them or check out their Google +.  Oh, and because our readers are the BEST, when you shop at the Scribble Shop, use the code LOLLYJA to receive 15% off your total order!  Yay!

We wrote this post as part of a paid campaign with ScribbleShop.com and Blueprint Social. The opinions in this post are my own.

Tell us, what would YOU have made with these items?
