Easter candy pomander eggs #IAmaSmartie #CollectiveBias
We know St. Paddy's Day hasn't quite passed yet but we'll be swapping our green decor for lighter, more Easter-y hues quite soon! Starting with these fun candy pomander eggs, created using yummy Easter Smarties:
For me, Easter is all about the pretty, pastel colors of spring, a celebration of starting a new season..
This was taken last April with our then 10-month old, our first Easter together as a family of three. It was our best one yet!
I ♥ to snack on Smarties and am okay to add them into my now 21-month old's Easter basket because they're a low calorie treat, only 25 cals/roll! That means #IAmaSmartie mom, huh ;)
With seeing the pretty Easter pastel colors of Smarties, I wanted to try them as a display as well. After snagging a bag at Dollar General {see my full shopping trip here} I came home and looked around for the plastic Easter eggs that was in our little guys basket last year. Darn, must have chucked them during our recent move. Luckily I have 2 cartons of eggs in my fridge ;) After cleaning them out, I started hot glueing Smarties in rows across each egg until it looked like this:
Cute, huh!Such a fun, simple kids craft, too!
Oh, and the Easter bunny dropped off a giant load of Smarties to my house just for one lucky reader so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out Smarties on FB, Pinterest, Twitter & YouTube.
This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias, #CBias. All opinions are my very own... and I really do ♥ to snack on Smarties! ;)
Love these. Wonder if I can stick them chocolate to an egg though cause I just know my niece and nephew will want to eat them!

ReplyDeleteHeck yes! Use the sugar paste and it should hold just fine! Great idea, Bettina- those would look super cute all wrapped up in an Easter basket.... oh, the possibilities ;)
ReplyDeleteLOve it!! My daughter is a Type 1 Diabetic and smarties is what she uses to get her blood sugar back up!!! Anytime we see smarties we think of Autumn...I need to try this!!
