Guest blogger: Tiaras & Bow Ties

Hello Lolly Jane readers.
I am Kim from Tiaras and Bowties and I am beyond thrilled to be here guest posting with the wonderful ladies of Lolly Jane.  Really, they are like bloggie Celebrities in my book!  I am a wife & SAHM to 2 wonderful kids (one of which has multiple special needs) and also a caregiver to my live in mother in law who has alzhiemers.  Things can get kinda crazy around here with some sort of crisis every few days or so; some medical - some just plain funny.  I almost didn't even make it here to be with you all today BUT I couldn't allow that to happen!
Tiaras and Bowties -- Think Smink
Tiaras and Bowties chronicles my love of painting, crafting and creating a comfy cozy home for my family.  We keep it real at T & B... day to day general craziness with some glitter and paint thrown in.

Once upon a time I had almost given up on the fairy tale life I had dreamed of but now I'm coming to realize that life can be wondrous and magical.  The book isn't just about the ending.  The tale is about the twisty turn filled journey from cover to cover, even if you have to eat a few rotten apples and kiss a few frogs to find your happy ending!
I also have an Esty Shop, Think Smink, featuring personalized and custom art and gifts for children of all ages who are trying to live the fairy tale!

We are getting ready for a week of face painting ideas for Halloween and I would love to have you stop over.

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy glitter candle holder with you!

The only supplies needed are a glass candleholder, fine black glitter, small plastic Halloween bats or spiders and glue suitable for glass and plastic.
First, I coated a little glow in the dark bat with glue and then shook the glitter all over to completely cover it.  Easy Peasy puddin pie then let it dry.
While that is drying, simply line the outside rim of the glass holder with glue.  You can use a thick or a thin line of glue, whichever suits your preference best.  Then again, all easy peasy like shake your glitter to cover the rim and allow that to dry.
When your pieces are nice and dry simply attach the bat to the front of the candle holder.
and...Voila! A simple and quick little Halloween votive holder to sparkle up your evenings!
Best yet, if you can grab the plastic bats that are also glow in the dark as I did, it's ok if some of the bat shows through... it looks really neat at night!

Many thanks to Lolly Jane for allowing me to be a part of your life today! Stop over and say hi sometime as you're out and about in blogland.
Life can still be a fairy tale... even if your story is a bit wacky like mine.
