My 8 yr old daughter & 6 yr old son ♥ to craft!
My daughter had a friend over & the day was getting long. Here is our CHEAP & EASY solution that the kids could pretty much do on their own:
... ssssssssssss ...
Supplies per snake:
1 sock {$1 store}.2 buttons.1 ribbon scrap tongue.scissors.hot glue&gun.rice or bead filling.rubberband
Directions:
Fill sock with bead filler or uncooked rice.
Tie off with rubberband when full.
Hot glue tongue into place {see pic}
Hot glue button eyes onto "face".
Easy!
I let the kids do it themselves hence the ugly orange tablecloth.
[I hope I'm not the only one with an unattractive tablecloth used soley for crafting?? Doesn't make a pretty backdrop for pics I'm aware but it sure does protect the space underneath just fine!]
Now go make your kids smile & make 'em a sock snake... you can even use recycled socks! (:
