Farmhouse Door before/after

I just moved into a 30 year old house that's chalk full of character.  It's worn & well loved inside and although some things are just gross, lol, I do love it.

For example: here is the door in the family room leading to the garage:
I had board & batten installed in the room, painted the top of the wall blue & for even more color, painted the orginial farmdoor a bold turquoise!

I know the colors below look totally different, I blame it on my iPhone & lighting, sorry!!  [My camera's in the shop]  Just wanted to show y'all how much difference a little glaze & frosted windows can make:

 Here's another after shot:
So many more before/after pics comin your way...I love being in our place after 18 months of living in my parent's basement apt (:

PS: Just in case:
blue on the wall: Sherwin-Williams "Swimming" SW 6764
blue on the door: Sherwin Williams "Mariner" SW 6766
*however, both were mixed at Lowe's with Valspar

  7. I love how it turned out! It took me a second before I realized what was on the windows... I never tape off windows when I paint and it drives my husband cr-a-zay! : )
