I just moved into a 30 year old house that's chalk full of character. It's worn & well loved inside and although some things are just gross, lol, I do love it.
For example: here is the door in the family room leading to the garage:
I had board & batten installed in the room, painted the top of the wall blue & for even more color, painted the orginial farmdoor a bold turquoise!
I know the colors below look totally different, I blame it on my iPhone & lighting, sorry!! [My camera's in the shop] Just wanted to show y'all how much difference a little glaze & frosted windows can make:

I love how it turned out! It took me a second before I realized what was on the windows... I never tape off windows when I paint and it drives my husband cr-a-zay! : )
