Our big sis Sandee is the most organized person we know. For real. She has lists, charts & boards all over her space... including her latest one:
{the oversized quatrefoil bulletin board}
Her handy hubby created it from scratch and she painted it then wrapped the cork board in the trendy quatrefoil fabric. San mentioned she wanted some oversized clothespins for her kids schoolwork, permission slips, cafeteria menus, etc., so we made her an offer:
If we could blog about it, we would finish it for her.
Deal.
If we could blog about it, we would finish it for her.
Deal.
We headed to our local craft store and picked up 4 jumbo clothespins in the unfinished wood section for $1.99 each.
After giving it 2 light coats of RustOleum Summer Squash spray paint, we mock-distressed it {and the bulletin board} with black paint. We applied our cute nephews/nieces names to the clothespins via vinyl lettering then simply hot glue'd them to the board. PS: Drinking an ice cold Diet Coke while crafting is a must ;)
To avoid crying children from stepping on tacks make sure the tacks don't get scattered all over the place, Sandee screwed a cute mini-bucket to the shelf for easy access. Wanna take a peek inside?
Pretty clever ;)
Well there you have it: a perfectly organized space for the kiddo's miscellaneous school papers to pair with the numbered cubby system. You will soon have all.summer.long to get this ready for the next school year ;)
